Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) provides a code of conduct for users of BC Gateways Data Exchange Community and is applicable to all persons and entities, including customers and their employees, agents, contractors, affiliates, subsidiaries, and 3rd parties performing services on their behalf.
3.1. Illegal Activity
Users are prohibited from using the Services for any illegal activities including aiding others to commit such acts. Illegal acts include but are not limited to:
a. Using the exchange to transmit, distribute, disseminate, receive, publish, or store material that:
i. infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property right of any party
ii. material that is defamatory, abusive, or harassing
iii. material that constitutes, depicts, fosters, promotes or relates in any manner to child pornography, or any other sex acts
iv. material that violates the privacy of any party
v. material containing software viruses or other harmful computer
code designed to disrupt; destroy; disable; invade, gain unauthorised access to; or corrupt, observe, or modify without authorisation, any
data; network transmissions; software; computing or network devices; or telecommunications equipment.

Unauthorised Users are prohibited from using the exchange services. All users are required to have unique user accounts and are prohibited from allowing unauthorised users from using their accounts to access the service.
3.3 Security and Penetration Testing
Users are prohibited from conducting security audits, assessments, and penetration tests of the Services other than with the express permission of BC Gateways.
4. USER OBLIGATIONS
4.1 Users of the service are expected to have adequate policies, procedures and systems to support compliance with this policy.
4.2 Report to BC Gateways any activity that the User becomes aware of that indicates a possible or actual a violation of this Acceptable Use Policy. Users must promptly cooperate with BC Gateways in responding to security incidents
6.1 BC Gateways may vary this policy from time to time. Changes will be made known to uses of the service 90 days prior to the change.
